Factory 798, Dashanzi
Tucked into and alongside the shell of former Factory 798, the galleries which make up the Dashanzi Art District are a series of superb display spaces for Beijing's creative community. Yet the marks and mode of industry remain, with metal worker shops and steaming ducts gifting the area an attractive split-personality. Several of the spaces boast vast rooflights that are met by a rough-cast concrete curve that arcs the sunshine down into the gallery below.
